What makes this Savannah bed and breakfast inn's gourmet cuisine so appealing?

Plenty of gourmet fare is the short answer. If the message of top-tier quality gourmet cuisine didn't reach Zeigler House Inn's guests before arrival, each B&B lodger discovers there is plenty of beautifully presented, delicious food to eat!

And, they discover the inclusive bed and breakfast menu would have otherwise added substantially to their Savannah trip's cost, if purchased a la carte any where else!

The Savannah bed and breakfast inn's menu selections are inclusive in the room rate, making it a bed and breakfast deal that is too often overlooked.  Jackie estimates food per person would cost travelers from $50 to $80 per person/per day if purchased in a bakery, cafe or restaurant.

Romantic travelers love to enjoy the private breakfast in room. Each of the Savannah inn's guest accommodations features a private full size- or mini-kitchen.

"In each of the in-room kitchen refrigerators there is a choice of juices (6 or more juices -- orange, grapefruit, cranberry, V-8 and apple), so guests get to choose whatever they want," says innkeeper Jackie Heinz.  "Additionally more popular beverages are stocked in each guest refrigerator -- bottled waters (6), sodas (6 - Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite), and milk."

In room, Jackie and her staff add also English muffins and yogurts (selection of 4), plus breakfast condiments (butter, cream cheese, selections of jams & preserves), tea and coffee (premium and decaf, freshly ground from Savannah Coffee Roasters).

Self-serve 'le 5 o'clock tea' awaits with fresh pastries
on the antique sideboard daily, plus a wide
selection of teas.
Then, there are plenty of healthy fruit and on-the-go snacks in room also!

Daily a bowl of fresh fruit (usually apples, oranges, bananas) and basket of snacks (chips, peanuts, MoonPies®, and homemade pralines) and, of course, chocolates are in room for a little indulgence.

Plenty of tasty pastries await for 'le 5 o'clock tea' ... or any time one craves a sweet treat.

On the back parlor sideboard are an assorted of home baked or artisan cookies, truffles, and other sweet temptations. On this day of writing, the selection includes Cranberry Coconut Macaroons, Kitchen Sink Cookies, Truffles, Butterscotch Haystacks, Chocolate Dipped Coconut Rolled Wafers, and Pecan Pie Bars. Self-serve hot tea and coffee await. On warmer days, Jackie adds chilled tea and lemonade with home made flavored syrups to add that little something extra that this culinary pro is so well known to serve.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is a social hour, featured storyteller or musician(s), plus pre-dinner, southern-inspired finger foods.

For social hour hors d'oeuvres, each week guest may expect tempting selections like farm fresh artisan cheese, duck confit pizza, or local boiled shrimp (in season). One clue: Jackie loves to shop the Forsyth Park Farmer's Market each Saturday morning to purchase what's fresh from the farm for social hour hors d'oeuvres that evening.
