So many of the old formalities no longer restrict us...." -- Jane Ellis, Food and Entertaining Editor, House BeautifulRomantic travelers love to enjoy the private breakfast in room. Each of the Savannah inn's guest accommodations features a private full size- or mini-kitchen.
"In each of the in-room kitchen refrigerators there is a choice of juices (6 or more juices -- orange, grapefruit, cranberry, V-8 and apple), so guests get to choose whatever they want," says innkeeper Jackie Heinz. "Additionally more popular beverages are stocked in each guest refrigerator -- bottled waters (6), sodas (6 - Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite), and milk."
In room, Jackie and her staff add also English muffins and yogurts (selection of 4), plus breakfast condiments (butter, cream cheese, selections of jams & preserves), tea and coffee (premium and decaf, freshly ground from Savannah Coffee Roasters).

On warmer days, Jackie adds chilled tea and lemonade with home made flavored syrups to add that little something extra that this culinary pro is so well known to serve.
On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is a social hour, featured storyteller or musician(s), plus pre-dinner, southern-inspired finger foods.
For social hour hors d'oeuvres, each week guest may expect tempting selections like farm fresh artisan cheese, duck confit pizza, or local boiled shrimp (in season). One clue: Jackie loves to shop the Forsyth Park Farmer's Market each Saturday morning to purchase what's fresh from the farm for social hour hors d'oeuvres that evening.
