In mid-September caterer-turned-innkeeper Jackie Heinz is busy selecting the Christmas décor and testing the heritage-rich cake recipes.

Yes, the inn's simple indulgences make the stay affordable. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, parking, in-suite breakfast, beverages and snacks, plus afternoon desserts. Farm to table is one of the inn's specialties also during Friday and Saturday evening hors d'oeuvres.

  • The Classic French Génoise Cake pays tribute to the inn’s French-inspired décor, intended to honor General Marque de Lafayette, the American Revolutionary hero beloved in Savannah.

The Inside Holiday Stage is Set, Too, with Family Treasures and Stories 

The glass shepherd’s crook on the mantle is the innkeeper's heirloom, first cherished by the her grandfather from his boyhood role in his hometown Christmas play. Another family keepsake, a pink Depression glass candy dish, sits still in use, unassumingly on the parlor coffee table. Each gentle rustle of the candy dish is a reminder to innkeeper Jackie Heinz of the peanut butter candy pillows she would attempt to withdraw without her grandmother hearing the tell-tell clank of the candy dish lid during her youth.
